Playing bassguitar since the early '80's, Vincent Pierins established himself as a renowned session musician recording over 3000 tracks for local belgian and international artists. He's been playing approx. 700 live concerts with Clouseau since 2000 also doing 126 concerts in the Antwerp Sport Palace (B). At the moment he 's also touring with Soulsister, Paul Michiels, Otomachine and Frank Deruytter's P-funk Posse.
In 1999 he started teaching bass and music theory at The Rockacademy, Tilburg (NL) and teaches since 2006 bass, bandcoaching and creative lab at the School of Arts, University College of Music in Ghent (B) where he himself obtained the degree of Master of Arts, Performing Music and is currently co-managing the Pop Music Department.
As well as playing bass and often being M.D. in several television programs (Tilt, De Notenclub, Idool, Zo Is Er Maar Een, Sterren op de dansvloer, Sing That Song, Lalala-Live, etc...) he functions as co-coach in Talentshows: X-Factor (2 series) and The Voice Van Vlaanderen (6 series, 7th serie coming up in the near future)
Backed by Bromo Music Publishing/ Patrick Hamilton and writing/producing/arranging songs with Patrick Hamilton, Thibault Hendrix and Nicolas Geniets (Nash and Pepper/TousEnsemble Publishing) he had releases with Nervo, Natalia, Stan Van Samang, Wim Soutaer, Sara Gold, 5Napback, Udo, Niels Destadsbader, Elisa Waut.
The last 2 decades Vincent fell in love with analog and modular synthesizers, collecting them and also doing recording sessions for several artists.
This all resulted in a first solo album 'Conundrum'. He took up an alias for this production: Seqoia-M
The album is totally inspired by the pioneers and heroes of analog synthesizer music: Jean-Michel Jarre, The Yellow Magic Orchestra, Vangelis, Klaus Schulze, Tangerine Dream, Herbie Hancock, Joe Zawinul etc...
